The wall was built in the second century as the Roman emperor at the time, Hadrian, was tired of fighting. The wall was built stretching from the North Sea to the Irish Sea and at the time, the wall is the border of the Roman Empire.

The construction of this wall began in 221 BC and continued to grow until the 17th Century. Walls of the newly discovered “fault” that had been hidden was finally 4000 miles in length. Most of this wall was never used by athletes during the Olympic cycling summer of 2008.

The wall is not the oldest wall, but at least this wall is always visited by many people each year. This wall was completed in 1982 and inscribed more than 58 000 American soldiers who died or disappeared during operations in Vietnam in 1959 until 1975.
